Seeing her friends terror at the mere mention of dogs, Jody asks Jessilyn for a description and finds they are hairless except for a mowhawk like stripe from snout to the edn of their tails, large and vicious. Jody then draws within herself, the blue aura appears around and concentrating the air about her wavers a bit she dissapears and is at the door of The Library. Slipping inside, showing my card and greeting the woman at the front desk, Jody explain sto a robed attendant what she is looking for and she is led to a far end of the Library down a long aisle. Jody carefully scans the shelves till she spots the reference manual she seeks, then sits and begins to page through it, spying a drawing exactly depicting the dogs as they were described to her Jody begins to read voraciously. Find to her relief that the dogs are not demons but inter dimensional beasts that travel travel from place to place causing terror, misery, destruction and death also they will keep returning till they are banister or destroyed. Jody carefully places the volume back in it's place creates another portal and returns to the great hall of the home.
Then drinking down a goblet Jody thinks for a bit regaining her strength goes out to the veranda and in a ripple of muscle, crackle of bone, gray tufts of fur appears as soon the great she wolf stands there. With a mournful howl she bounds off the veranda and carefully makes her way through the bayou avoiding the mangrove tangles, deep water and quicksand. Hearing a rustle in the the brush in front of her as she moves deep in the swamp, the wolf crouches down the hair on her back risising, as the undergrowth parts and the Loup appears, I growl at him and he snarls at me then we both go about our respective businesses. Coming upon a small clearing the wolf hears rustling and growling, peeking through some vines and low hanging Spanish moss she sees a pack of five of Jessilyn' s dogs tearing apart and eating two fawns. Knowing these beasts attacked both Jessilyn and her own Mother, Jody decides to use the element of surprise and leaps out of the brush with a loud snarl, grabbing one dog by the throat sinking her teeth in tasting its foul blood in her mouth tossing it aside, raking another across the eyes with a paw. Two others charge into the she wolf one sinking its teeth deep in her shoulder suddenly the fifth beast let's out two high pitched barks and the five dissapear leaving nothing but Jody, the remains of the fawns and trampled grass. Jody realizing she is alone, curls up under a tree, licking her wound healing it some, then limps off to home so she can think, plan and consult with the others.
